  1. What kind of services can I find on CitiesACT?
    ·CitiesACT allows users to:
    • Discover data and indicators either by location (country or city) or by topic (Air Quality and Climate Change, Transport and Energy)
    • Analyze data trends and tendencies
    • Visualize and download data and statistics through CAI-Asia prepared or user-generated tables, charts or graphs
    • Access to Clean Air Portal and other CAI-Asia websites
    • Link to other national and international databases
  2. Are the data and information in CitiesACT free?

    ·Yes. Data in CitiesACT can be used free of charge with minimal restrictions (see Terms of Use). Users are requested to cite CAI-Asia when using data, statistics and charts and figures from CitiesACT. When referencing specific data from CitiesACT, please include the original source after citing CAI-Asia.

  3. How I access data in CitiesACT?
    ·From the CitiesACT homepage, you can access data either by:
    • Location (click on the "Countries and Cities" Tab)
    • Topic (select from “Air Quality and Climate Change”, “Transport” or “Energy” Tabs)
    • List of Indicators (select from “Featured Data and Indicators” block)
    • Charts, graphs and figures prepared by CAI-Asia (click on “Charts and Figures” Tab)
    • Choosing through the Search an Indicator function or the Standard search function
  4. How do I search for data and indicators related to a specific topic?

    ·You can start your search by clicking your topic of interest; either “Air Quality and Climate Change” tab, “Transport” tab, or “Energy” tab. You can simply follow the search query criteria to retrieve the data you need.

  5. ·I have completed the steps in the search query for a topic, but the download button does not appear. What should I do?

    Please do not forget to LOG-IN to be able to download data and other resources from CitiesACT. Not yet a member? Click here to register in CitiesACT.

  6. How can I search for data and indicators related to a specific location?

    You can start your search by clicking the “Countries and Cities” Tab to access the data map. Left-click on a marker to view relevant country information and right-click on a country marker to view list of cities and city information.

  7. ·What resources are available in the “Charts and Figures” Tab?

    This contains graphs, figures and maps prepared by CAI-Asia. Popular slides by CAI-Asia for presentations can also be downloaded here.

  8. I would like to be updated with new data updates in CitiesACT, what should I do?

    ·You can sign-up for email updates by clicking the “sign-up” button in the home page to start receiving updates on uploaded data, and charts and figures prepared by CAI-Asia.
